The Official DnD LEGO Mimic Dice Box is Back in Action

It’s been a glorious time to be a brick-loving Dungeons & Dragons fan, with the past year ushering in the epic DnD LEGO set known as “Red Dragon’s Tale” which included mini figures, monsters and even an accompanying DnD LEGO adventure. If you were a LEGO Insider member who pre-ordered the set back in April 2024, you were also able to get your hands on a free LEGO Mimic Dice Box Set. These were only available for a limited time and, after selling out, have skyrocketed in value, fetching more than a few gold pieces on eBay.

Fortunately, fans who missed out the first time will get a second chance to snag the LEGO Mimic Dice Box Set. Below, we break out all the details on how you can get your hands on these D20-devouring dungeon dwellers.

How do you get the new LEGO Mimic Dice Box?

In order to get the new LEGO Mimic Dice box you’ll first need to be a LEGO insider member (although fortunately the offer is open to all global members). You’ll then have to order the Red Dragon’s Tale set online anytime from July 22nd to 28th, 2024. LEGO will then throw in the Mimic Dice Box as a free gift with purchase (also known as a “GWP”).

Notably, the set does run for $359.99 USD, so you’re definitely going to have shell out more than a few hard-earned copper pieces to get both it and the Mimic. It’s not clear if the Mimic will ever be sold separately (although it does have its own product page), so this might be the only way to actually get one for the foreseeable future.

Final Thoughts

Dungeons & Dragons LEGO is truly a dream come true for brickheads and TTRPG fans alike. The LEGO Mimic Dice Box Set really showcases just how cool the collaboration is, so it’s great to see fans getting another chance to score them.

The re-release also ties in nicely with both the DnD 50th anniversary and the upcoming slew of new DnD LEGO mini figures scheduled for release this fall. You can snag your Mimic Dice Box now until July 28th by visiting the LEGO website.

In the meantime, below is a short video showing the LEGO Mimic Dice Box Set in action.
